In the water wonderland that is the 1000 Islands, it's not surprising that one of the most popular attractions in the region is the scenic cruise - a real "must see" on any visitor's trip. The region's boat lines offer a variety of cruises, typically ranging from one hour to three hours in length. You can choose to travel on a modern glass-topped triple-decker cruise boat, paddle-wheel riverboats or even an historic 1929 vintage wooden cruise boat. Cruises leaving from Gananoque tour the central part of the 1000 Islands region of the St Lawrence. Many of these cruises offer a stop-over at historic Boldt Castle on Heart Island.

The cruising season runs from May through the fall color season of October. Frequent scheduled departures between 9:30 am and 5:00 pm leave from the docks just a short walk or drive from the Inn. Most cruises are narrated, providing an entertaining commentary on the history and lore of the 1000 Islands. Typical cruise boats offer food and beverage service aboard, and have enclosed, climate controlled decks as well as open-air decks.

Specialty cruises including sunset, dinner and luncheon cruises are also available.
